Playstation Store Back Online!

Playstation Store Back Online!

Sony sent out a press release earlier tonight talking about the restoration of the Playstation Network and the Playstation Store by the end of the day, June 1st 2011 everywhere except Japan, Korea and Hong Kong. More information on the Playstation Store restoration after the break.

This is good news for all Playstation 3 and Playstation Portable owners since the service went offline over two months ago.

To sweeten up the already joyous situation, Sony has updated the Playstation Store with a huge asssortment of games, dlc, themes and wallpapers. In addition to that, many of these said items are on sale for up to 50% off the original price. Playstation Plus subscribers also have a multitude of discounts and free downloads courtesy of Sony Computer Entertainment America.

As well, a number of demos are also ready for download tonight:

  • Lego Pirates Of The Caribbean
  • Wizardry: Labyrinth Of Lost Souls
  • Star Raiders
  • Red Faction Armageddon
  • The Fight: Lights Out Stress-Buster
  • MotorStorm Apocalypse Single Player

I’m especially excited about The Fight: Lights Out demo as I’ve been wanting to try the game for a while now.

As for the “Welcome Back” Package promised by Sony, the company has said that they are in the final stages of testing and will release more info on its availability in the coming days.
