Metal Gear Solid HD Collection Coming Soon

Metal Gear Solid HD Collection Coming Soon

The Metal Gear Solid HD Collection is coming out for the PS3 and Xbox 360 in November 2011. That means just a few more days before three of the best games of the last generation are making the jump to HD for the first time.

More MGS info after the break.

The HD collection will include:

  • Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty
  • Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater
  • Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker

All of the games have been rebuilt and remastered for the new systems and will feature new art styles, trophies and achievements, dual analog stick support (MGS: Peace Walker fans rejoice!) and cross-save functionality (aka. Transfarring) between PSP and PS3. This means that players can use their MGS: Peace Walker save on the PSP, import it to the PS3 and play the game using the HD collection disc on the TV.

On another note, this will be the first time that MGS3 and MGS: Peace Walker will be playable on the Xbox system. MGS2: Substance was released for the original Xbox back in 2002. Personally, I think this is great news as more people will be able to play Peace Walker, perhaps the best game in the series.

DISCUSS

What do you guys think about this collection coming out for the Xbox 360? Dissapointed? Shocked at Kojima and Konami? Angry? Happy? Let me know in the comments section.
