Leaked Poster Points To Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 Announcement In May

Earlier today, an Activision and Treyarch poster leaked onto the world wide web which adds credence to the rumor that Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 will be officially announced next month (May).

Activision announced earlier this year that a new Call of Duty game will be coming in the winter. Could Black Ops 2 be that game? In addition to the leaked poster, another sign that points to this is that Activision already purchased the domain name

The poster is of a soldier brandishing a handgun and the text “05.02.12, Return For Debriefing” written on it. At the bottom of the poster are the logos of both Activision and Treyarch. If this is true and Black Ops 2 is in the pipeline; it may just be what Activision’s Call of Duty franchise needs to increase sales again.

Modern Warfare 3 total sales volume are less each month, and is not selling as well or as fast as the original Black Ops which came a year before. While Gamasutra reported that the the 4.6% annual sales drop of Modern Warfare 3 compared to Black Ops, being down due to Wii, handheld and PC gamers just not selling well, it can also be attributed to the overall fatigue that many a gamer feels towards the Call of Duty Franchise.
