Resident Evil Revelations Will Feature More Characters, Modes, and Enemies

As if the game wasn’t feature-packed enough, Capcom announced earlier this week that Resident Evil Revelations will feature more characters, modes, and enemies than originally thought. As well, there will be new unique features exclusive to the Wii-U version when it releases in May.

First of the new additions is a newcomer to the Resident Evil franchise; Rachel is going to be a playable character in Raid Mode along with Hunk. Those of you lucky buggers who are heading off to PAX EAST (I’m looking at you Twinfinite Crew!) will be able to try out both Hunk and Rachel at Capcom’s booth at the event. More on Resident Evil Revelations’ new features after the break.

Of course, the additions don’t stop there, Resident Evil Revelations will also feature brand new menacing monsters in Raid Mode. You’ll have to face the Wall Blister – a creature that looks like a Hunter/Tyrant hybrid – and a secret new creature that can only be fought once you’ve reached a certain level in Raid. Check out the screens below for a look at the BOW’s.

Finally, all you Wii U owners will also get your own exclusive features and functionalities; you’ll be able to use the Wii U Gamepad’s screen to access your map and weapons. Or if your significant other is hogging the TV, you can switch the game to the Gamepad’s screen for some Off TV gameplay. Resident Evil Revelations on Wii U will also have support for the Wii U Pro Controller for those used to more traditional gamepads.

Why do I keep remembering PewDiePie’s Amnesia vids when I see this pic?

Oh and let’s not forget the hilarious Miiverse messages that players can post onto the Game Over screen for other players to see. You’ll also be able to create thought bubbles on top of enemies heads in Raid Mode to annoy/make your friends laugh.

Resident Evil Revelations is coming to the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PC and Wii U across North America on May 21 and Europe on May 24.

Will you be getting it or are you starting to get tired of the franchise? Let us know!
